Bosch eCityTruck powertrain solutions are ideal for delivering goods directly to the customer's front door. The advantages of electric drives in urban delivery traffic include emission-free drive at local level, enabling continued access to restricted areas, such as low emission zones. Because the drives are so quiet, it is even possible to deliver goods after business hours without disturbing local residents. The street scooter used by Deutsche Post already makes successful use of an electric drive system from Bosch in everyday urban delivery traffic.

The eCityTruck powertrain solutions from Bosch are scalable for commercial vehicles with a total weight from 2 to 7.5 tons. Depending on the configuration, ranges of up to 200 kilometers per day can be achieved. All corresponding drive components are based on Bosch passenger car technology, are technically mature and are thoroughly tried-and-tested.

The eAxle from Bosch integrates the electric motor, the electronics and the transmission in a single housing, thereby increasing the efficiency of electric and hybrid vehicles. The modular axle drive is scalable in its performance and is also suitable for light commercial vehicles. With its compact design, the eAxle further reduces the complexity of the electric drive and makes the electrified powertrain less expensive, more compact and more efficient.

Like the eAxle, the Electric Drive Module combines components to form a single system, creating synergy effects. The electric motor and power electronics are permanently connected. This means that the system can be used flexibly in different powertrain topologies. The performance of the system is scalable and can therefore be adapted to different vehicle types and payloads.
