The Servotwin electro-hydraulic steering system for heavy commercial vehicles is the innovative combination of the Servocom ball-and-nut power steering system with an steering control unit, consisting of an electric motor and control unit. The system offers speed-dependent steering assistance, active return, enables various driver assistance functions like lane keep assist (LKA) and additional automated steering functions. For vehicles with two steered axles, the electric assistance eliminates the need for a second hydraulic circuit. The steering system meets global safety requirements.
